career interest over time
Looking back, I find it funny to think about how long it’s taken me to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. This process of discovery opened me up to the opportunity to do a load of different things while living in NYC. I did everything from single handedly managing and producing a hotel’s whole social media presence. Then, working as the paid digital media expert for Eataly North America. To becoming the leader of a team of producers & designers at a TV network aiming to revamp their digital branding. It was after all those experiences that I looked deep within myself and saw the answer had been right in front of me the whole time. Since being a kid I have always been obsessed with all thing screens. Movies, cartoons, and video games (specially the ones with a cinematic take like Kojima ones) played a massive role in my youth and adulthood. I became fully immersed in these fictional worlds.
Oftentimes I catch myself day dreaming, lost in thought startled by a song. My mind projecting a whole story alongside the lyrics, inspired by lighting, scenery, music… I was creating whole mini movies in my head. I wanted to share these moments with people, give them a view into these weird stories I create in my head. Thus, adjusting my focus with the end goal of becoming a director.
I am currently pursuing it and getting set experience at Hungry Man. Meanwhile my side hustles consist of consulting for brands as a digital guru, helping them to find their legs through unique brand voices alongside beautiful content that brings their branding to life. Of course, taking small breaks in the between to play Red Dead Redemption 2 and dig deep in Vimeo.
